DESCRIPTION:Apprentice Choir\, Intermediate Choir\, Concert Choir\, Chamber Singers\, Young Men’s Ensemble\, and Chorale perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall as part of the LA Philharmonic’s Sounds About Town series\, which highlights local ensembles on one of the world’s most famous stages.  \nNote: For ADA-accessible seating\, please purchase tickets directly from the LA Phil.  \nJoin the Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Children’s Chorus as they celebrate their 40th anniversary with a special Sounds About Town program\, “Looking Back\, Looking Forward.” This vibrant concert\, featuring more than 300 LACC choristers\, takes audiences on a journey through four centuries of music\, seamlessly weaving together timeless classics and modern works that have shaped the chorus’ history. Featuring beloved audience favorites from every decade of LACC’s existence\, as well as new gems that point toward an exciting future\, this performance is both a tribute to the past and a joyful celebration of what lies ahead. Highlights include music from Bach\, Verdi\, Rachmaninoff\, Allister MacGillivray\, Handel\, and Schubert\, as well as folk tunes from across the globe\, and more.  \n  \nPlease note: Due to LA Phil policy\, children under 6 will not be permitted into Walt Disney Concert Hall.

SUMMARY:LACC Masterclass With Dr. Anthony Trecek-King
DESCRIPTION:Los Angeles Children’s Chorus presents a FREE Masterclass with Dr. Anthony Trecek-King.  \nLACC invites members of the public—especially Los Angeles-based music educators—to join us on April 18 for a Masterclass\, this year led by the acclaimed Dr. Anthony Trecek-King.  \nDr. Trecek-King is a highly acclaimed choral conductor\, scholar\, pedagogue\, and media personality with a career spanning over 20 years. He is an active guest conductor\, serves as a Resident Conductor (chorus) with the Handel and Haydn Society\, Artistic Director of the Berkshire Choral International\, and a Creative Advisor for the Voces8 US Foundation.\n  \nThe Masterclass will take place on Saturday\, April 18\, 2026 in Fellowship Hall at Pasadena Presbyterian Church.  \n  \nDr. Trecek-King will work with three different LACC choirs with singers ranging from Elementary to High School age. At the end of the afternoon\, an open Q&A session will allow for any questions regarding vocal and choral pedagogy.  \nMasterclass Schedule:  \n9:00 am – 10:30 am: Apprentice Choir (elementary aged-singers) \n10:45 am – 12:15 pm: Intermediate Choir (late elementary to middle school-aged singers) \nBREAK \n1:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Concert Choir (more advanced singers\, ranging from middle to high school) \n3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Q & A with teachers/guests \nIf you are interested in attending\, please RSVP here.
