Chorale is LACC’s mixed-voices ensemble for technically proficient and accomplished singers. This SATB ensemble (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) comprises an auditioned group of choristers selected from Concert Choir and Young Men’s Ensemble. Chorale’s mixed voicing allows for exploration of the vast amount of repertoire written for such ensembles over many centuries and across many cultures. Repertoire for Chorale is selected every season seeking a balance between old and new, and far and near. Chorale rehearses once a week on Mondays. They perform during both of LACC’s Winter and Spring Concerts, at community engagement concerts throughout the season and, as opportunities present, in collaborations with other artists, ensembles, etc.
