LACC’s Next Experiences in Singing (formerly, First Experiences in Choral Singing or FECS) classes are open to graduates of the First Experiences in Singing program, as well as auditioning children new to LACC who may not be quite ready to join a performing ensemble.
Sometimes children are not quite ready for one of LACC’s upper-level ensembles. Next Experiences in Singing helps children develop their skills in preparation for Preparatory Choir. For the 2024|25 Season, NES will rehearse Miércoles afternoons at Pasadena Presbyterian Church. The class costs $1,335 + a $100 registration fee.
Next Experiences in Singing is a year-long program, meeting in two separate sessions on Wednesdays for 11 weeks in the fall and spring as follows:
- Fall: Wednesdays (4:15-5:00 pm), Sept. 11 – Nov. 20, 2024
- Fall: Wednesdays (5:15-6:00 pm), Sept. 11 – Nov. 20, 2024
- Spring: Wednesdays, (4:15-5:00 pm) Jan. 15– Marzo 26, 2025
- Spring: Wednesdays, (5:15-6:00 pm) Jan. 15– Marzo 26, 2025
Through the NES curriculum and repertoire, children
