Los Angeles Children’s Chorus presents a FREE Masterclass with Dr. Anthony Trecek-King. 

LACC invites members of the public—especially Los Angeles-based music educators—to join us on April 18 for a Masterclass, this year led by the acclaimed Dr. Anthony Trecek-King. 

Dr. Trecek-King is a highly acclaimed choral conductor, scholar, pedagogue, and media personality with a career spanning over 20 years. He is an active guest conductor, serves as a Resident Conductor (chorus) with the Handel and Haydn Society, Artistic Director of the Berkshire Choral International, and a Creative Advisor for the Voces8 US Foundation.
 

The Masterclass will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in Fellowship Hall at Pasadena Presbyterian Church. 

Dr. Trecek-King will work with three different LACC choirs with singers ranging from Elementary to High School age. At the end of the afternoon, an open Q&A session will allow for any questions regarding vocal and choral pedagogy. 

Masterclass Schedule: 

9:00 am – 10:30 am: Apprentice Choir (elementary aged-singers)

10:45 am – 12:15 pm: Intermediate Choir (late elementary to middle school-aged singers)

BREAK

1:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Concert Choir (more advanced singers, ranging from middle to high school)

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Q & A with teachers/guests
