YME

If there’s one thing that happens in life, it’s change. It’s never more obvious than when young singers go through their voice change.

Young Men’s Ensemble (YME) creates an opportunity for choristers to continue to sing through the vocal transition. The goal of YME is to provide a form where singers can learn more about the healthy development of their maturing voices at their own pace in an understanding and encouraging environment. Choristers discover and develop their voices through the study of a wide variety of choral repertoire, continue their music literacy study and enhance their vocal instrument through individual coaching sessions with their conductor. YME enjoys performing as the culmination of the learning process. Membership is comprised of continuing LACC choristers and those who successfully test into the ensemble through an open audition.

For the 2022|23 Season, YME meets on Sunday evenings for rehearsals and musicianship class.

Auditions to join Young Men’s Ensemble are now open, with eligible singers being considered on a case-by-case basis. Start your audition here.
