PREPARATORY CHOIR
Preparatory Choir is LACC’s introductory choir for young singers. Choristers audition in to Preparatory Choir and typically have little, if any, prior musical experience. Preparatory Choir rehearses on Mondays.
APPRENTICE CHOIR
Apprentice Choir serves young singers with some prior musical experience. Choristers either audition directly into this ensemble or are promoted from Preparatory Choir. Apprentice Choir rehearses on Tuesdays and singers in this ensemble also participate in separate musicianship classes directly before or after rehearsal.
INTERMEDIATE CHOIR
Intermediate Choir comprises choristers with more advanced musical abilities who audition directly into the ensemble, along with choristers who have been promoted from Apprentice Choir. Intermediate Choir rehearsal and musicianship classes take place on Tuesdays.
CONCERT CHOIR
GRAMMY Award-winning Concert Choir is LACC’s largest and most advanced performing ensemble. Choristers rehearse on Sundays and Tuesdays, and take musicianship classes on Sundays. Concert Choir frequently performs with leading local arts organizations, including the LA Opera, LA Philharmonic, Pasadena Symphony and POPS, and Los Angeles Master Chorale, among others.
CHAMBER SINGERS
Chamber Singers is LACC’s performing ensemble for more musically accomplished and technically sophisticated young women. Singers are a select group of young artists capable of learning and performing works of sublime complexity. Chamber Singers rehearses on Sundays.
YOUNG MEN'S ENSEMBLE
If there’s one thing that happens in life, it’s change. Young Men’s Ensemble provides an opportunity for choristers to continue to sing through their vocal transition. The ensemble provides a forum where singers can learn more about the healthy development of their maturing voices in an understanding, friendly, and encouraging environment. YME rehearses on Sundays.
CHORALE
Chorale is LACC mixed-voices ensemble for technically proficient and accomplished singers. This SATB ensemble comprises an auditioned group of choristers selected from Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Young Men’s Ensemble. Chorale rehearses on Sundays.
