EMPLOYER MATCHING GIFTS: Many businesses and corporations offer generous matching gift programs to encourage employees to support nonprofit organizations in their communities. DONOR ADVISED FUNDS
Giving through your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is an easy way to make a charitable gift to support Los Angeles Children’s Chorus. If you have a DAF with Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon, or another organization, and would like to recommend a gift, LACC’s Tax ID number is: 95-4431730.
IRA DISTRIBUTIONS
Your IRA can provide a tax-smart way to make a difference at LACC. The Qualified Charitable Distribution or QCD (sometimes called an “IRA Charitable Rollover”) is a great way to make a tax-free gift AND satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), too.
The Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) offers multiple benefits for making gifts from your IRA.
- You must be 70½ years or older at the time of the gift.
- Gifts must go directly from your IRA to the LACC.
- For 2024, total QCD gifts cannot exceed $105,000 per individual.
How Can I Make an IRA Charitable Rollover?
Contact your IRA administrator to request a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA to the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus.
ENDOWMENT
In 2023, LACC established an endowment fund with the Pasadena Community Foundation. The growth of this fund will help secure a stable and sustainable future for LACC. LACC hosts a Spring Benefit, Salons, and other special events each season to raise important funds for our Choral and Music Education programs and Scholarship Fund: Every Child Sings. Attending one of these events is an enjoyable way to support LACC’s life-changing music education work and build community.
EVERY CHILD SINGS
As Los Angeles Children’s Chorus expands, our focus is on equity and inclusion. We want every child who wishes to take part in our programs to have a place on the choral risers.
With each year that LACC chorister numbers grow, so do our requests for financial aid. An increasingly high cost of living in LA County has squeezed many of our families – the need for a robust scholarship fund has never been greater.
This season, there will be several ways for you to support Every Child Sings, from our Preparatory Choir performance fundraiser to Giving Tuesday. When you donate to Every Child Sings, ninety cents of every dollar contributed goes directly to tuition support for deserving families and choristers. SPECIAL EVENTS
LACC hosts a Spring Concert to raise funds for our Every Child Sings. We also have themed salon events, open houses, and an alumni reunion. All of these events are ways to build community and support Los Angeles Children’s Chorus.
